things to consider before booking to have a great time with us

- Have a light lunch, the food on this tour is heavy, you might want to take it easy before.
- Your guide will be in touch via SMS or WhatsApp 1 or 2 hours before the tour, make sure to check your phone
- Avoid bringing with you valuables such as jewelry and big cameras, we visit a non touristy and chaotic area where petty crime is common, don´t put yourself and the group in danger. Dangerous situations are easily avoidable by being discreet.
- Avoid wearing short skirts and revealing clothes if you don´t want to attract undesirable attention from men at the the street
- Plan to go for drinks after, is the best for digesting all the delicious food you’ll eat.
- THIS IS NOT A DRINKING TOUR. We can´t stress this enough. Drinking in the street is ilegal and you can go to jail. You can go for drinks after the tour.
- We work in streets, severe allergies can’t be accommodated because we cat avoid cross contamination and airborne particles. Be mindful with this please.
- This tour is suitable for vegetarians but meat and veggies will be cooked on the same surfaces. There will be stops with no options, but we compensate at other places.
- We ride the bus, and sometimes is packed, is a short ride and very easy, but we need you to understand this before booking. The metro’s has a HUGE gap, your guide will point it out to avoid accidents.
- This tour has very little sitting opportunities, we will be mostly standing and walking at a reasonable pace.
- This tour requires a low fitness level everyone is welcome
- We have many opportunities to use the restroom during the tour, just make sure to inform your guide in advance so she can plan ahead, because not all the bathrooms are easily accesible
- Consider that street bathrooms are basic and not the prettiest. They are clean just not fancy
- Sundays are a great day for this tour, all the stalls are fully operating and many restaurants close early on Sunday, so the tour is the best plan.
- Mondays are good, but the tripe and tongue taco stall is closed, we change this stop for amazing northern style tacos with flour tortillas, so it’s not that bad.
- Don’t book the day you arrive if your flight comes in after 3:00 pm, the traffic is crazy and you might not make it on time.
- If you are coming from Polanco or the Historic Center, consider that Ubers are sometimes hard to get at the time of the tour, planning to visit Condesa and Roma that day and arriving to the meeting point by walking, is the safest choice.
Rainy season in Mexico City goes from late May until late September, it usually starts raining at 6:00 pm. We will bring umbrellas but it’s advised to dress accordingly. Raincoats and waterproof shoes are best.
