Vegan food can be tricky, filled with soy products and non healthy options, but Eat Like a Local found for you healthy and delicious spots where you can enjoy local Mexican vegan dishes, they curated a mix of vegan restaurants an Roma Norte, cool coffee shops and authentic street food delicacies at the flower market, the biggest flower wholesale in the city where the group will be able to enjoy the colors of the flowers and taste grilled corn, squash blossom quesadillas (no cheese on them) and the most complete fruit tasting with more than 12 local varieties.
The tour also includes non vegan places with outstanding vegan dishes and we even visit one of Enrique Olvera’s Pujol owner restaurants. This tour is a great way to discover the city, from cool hotspots to markets and street stalls, was curated in collaboration with Rocio Vazquez Eat Like a Local’s founder in charge of the flavor and gastronomic value and Astrid Ceballos a vegan chef that manages Palacio de Hierro’s healthy food, Palacio is an upscale chain of department stores very popular in Mexico. She understands more than anybody the vegan life and helped Rocio created an amazing experience both delicious and healthy, Astrid herself guides this tour on Monday, Wednesday and Friday when she is not cooking and teaching at her raw vegan cooking school.
